Harinams in Knin, Vodice….

A short text about harinams in Knin, Vodice and other places…

On 12th august we had morning harinam in Šibenik and this day was special because we on this date one great soul appeared. It was a brirthday of our main cook and driver Mahatma prabhu. Also in harinam we distributed 11 books from which were two Bhagavad Gitas. People were really happy that they can see us again and also Gopal and his parents joined us on harinam.

After that we went for evening harinam in Vodice. This place is really crowded so our harinam party was always surrounded with lots of people. Some of this people would learn maha mantra and then they would sing with us engaging their whole families into singing. Around 11 PM we stopped and then went beack to Zadar where we came around 1 AM.

Tomorrow morning we had a new long trip around 110 kilometers from Zadar to Knin where we had morning harinam. Also people were very happy that they can see us again, because we are coming there just once a year. Soon our friends that we met from last year’s came and we had simple but very ecstatic harinam.

After harinam in Knin we went back to Zadar, but this time we wnet straight to Anata Seasa and his wife Sukanti mataji for lunch, so because we were very hungry, we got there very fast. Prasadam was delicious so we want to thank once again for their service. Day after that we went for Split ewhere we stopped again in Šibenik for a morning harinam. In the next article we will write about Trogir, Split and other harinams…

Afcourse it is notalways easy to get official permissions for harinams,so in one city we got very unusual proposal if we wanted to play. They said that we can perform harinam only if it will be walking harinam and if we will wore not our traditional vaisnava clothes, but their native island clothes..

In order to please Lord Caitanya and his desire “in every town and village” we said yes and then we chande smome melodies so that they could sound more like their native songs. Then we took the the treasure in the form of the Holy name, and distributed it free to all the people over the island…
